This is a list of the ministries in our church.  There are additional ministries that we have as the need arises and we are always looking for new ways to meet the needs of those in our church and those in our community.

As a church, we are also a member of Meridian's Promise.  This is part of Mayor Tammy de Weerd's efforts to reach out to children and youth in our community.  Here at the Meridian Church of God we are committed to our children.

Men's Ministry:  The general meetings for this ministry will begin in September of 2005.  Currently, we have a small group of men who are meeting a couple of times per month for prayer, for study, and for seeing what all God wants us to do in this ministry.  Click on the link to see much more information about this ministry.

Women's Ministries: There are various ministries that make up our women's ministries.  As needs arise, different ministries rise up.  Email the Women's Ministry for more information.

Sunshine Club: This is part of our Ladies Ministry.  Each month the ladies gather together in one of their homes for fellowship.  During this time someone shares a devotional, they sing some songs and worship God.  They also have a "secret sisters" program each year.  This is a wonderful time for the ladies to get together and discuss the needs of people in and out of the church.  The Sunshine Club sponsors numerous events throughout the year, such as our November Missions Month, our Soup and Bread Night, and our Mothers-Daughters Banquet.  They also sponsor various fundraisers throughout the year. Email for more information.

Sew-n-Sew Ladies:  This is a ladies quilting group that gets together on the first Thursday of each month to learn or work on quilts and to spend some time in fellowship.

Young Adult Ministry:  This is our ministry for the young adults.  This ministry is currently in transition...watch in the next few months or so for more information.

Youth Ministry: This is our ministry for youth, ages 13-18.  The youth meet three times a month, typically at the church.  Worship is led by the Youth Worship Team and there is a time for Bible study, games, and other fellowship activities. 

Children's Ministry: We are in the process of developing a ministry for children, ages 7-12

Senior Fellowship: This is the ministry for senior adults.  We do this in cooperation with the Nampa Church of God (Seventh Day).  Once a month, the seniors gather together for a meal and Bible study.  Contact Senior Fellowship for more information.

Generations Ministry: This is a ministry connecting the Senior Adults in the church with the Young Adults.  Young Adults sign up to visit with a Senior Adult in the congregation once per month.  Then, on the last Thursday of every month, there is a Generations Potluck where everyone is invited to come and share a meal together.

Drama Ministry:  Our drama ministry is active in helping to share the message through "sermon lead-in skits," as well as working to put together other drama presentations that take place either during the service, or on another evening.  Email the drama ministry for more information.

Video Ministry:  This ministry is active in creating video clips for sermon illustrations and promotions as well as other video needs for the church.

PLACE Ministry:  This is an exciting ministry that helps Christians "find their PLACE in ministry."  The five components of PLACE (www.placeministries.org) help the participant connect the dots and see where God is calling them to serve as part of the Body of Christ.  Through a workshop, the individual looks at P (Personality), L (Learning Spiritual Gifts), A (Abilities Awareness), C (Connecting Passion to Ministry), & E (Experiences of Life) through inventories, small group exercises, and discussion.  Then the PLACE participant sits down with a PLACE consultant who helps them understand their PLACE and explore different ministry possibilities.  Contact the PLACE team.

Music Ministry: We are growing our music ministry and are excited about what the future holds.  Aside from our Praise and Worship Teams and the Song Leader for our hymns, we also have begin to have an active choir and band.  Contact the Worship Ministry for more information.

Adult Sabbath School: These are the classes we offer to the adults of the church every week.  We offer 1 to 4 classes at any given time, depending on the need.  Presently, the class is working on a quarterly study.  The Young Adult class is going through the series "Tough Questions" from Zondervan.  Other classes we offer range from an "Introduction to Greek," or "History of the Bible," to discipleship and marriage classes.

Foundations Class:  This is a class that lays down some of the foundations we as Christians should know.  It covers an Introduction to Christianity and the Gospel Message, then goes into where the Bible came from, history of the Christian church, history of the Church of God Seventh Day, and the doctrines of the Meridian church (from the Statement of Faith.)  This class starts in September and runs through the first part of June each year.

Children's Sabbath School: We know how important our children are, and we do our best to share with them the love of Jesus Christ in a fun and exciting atmosphere.  Children's classes range from 3 years old up through High School.

Fellowship Ministry: This ministry helps us to meet one of the purposes of the church - fellowship and the creation of true Christian community.  Through scheduled events together, from picnics to campouts to ice skating, we have the opportunity to get to know one another better.  Come join us for one of these activities and let us get to know you better, too.  Email the fellowship ministry for more information.
